Fall Wednesday Night Bible Study
As we so often say, church is not a place where we retreat from the world, but a place where we learn how to live more faithfully within the world. In that spirit, for our Wednesday evening Bible study this fall, beginning September 21, we will practice thinking theologically about a series of topics using a framework spelled-out by Miroslav Volf and Ryan McAnnally-Linz in their new book, Public Faith in Action: How to Think Carefully, Engage Wisely, and Vote with Integrity. It’s not necessary to acquire the book, but you may find it useful not only for the study, but in shaping your own practice of engaging current issues. Using the author’s framework, the study will be divided into three parts, “Commitments,”” Convictions" and "Character."
