Sunday Night Activities for All Ages Begin September 3

For the fall months (Sept. –Dec.), children, youth and adult programming is going to change from Wednesday nights to Sunday nights, with the exception of Chancel Choir rehearsal.  A Wednesday lunchtime adult Bible study will be added, giving adults the possibility for two different Bible study times during the week.   A schedule for the change is as follows:

Sundays, Weekly, beginning September 3:
Childcare available 4:45-7:15
5:00-5:45 – Youth and Children’s Choirs
 Adult Fellowship/ committee meetings
5:00-7:45  -- Language Ministry classes
5:45- 6:30 – Supper for all; children’s celebrations begin at 6:15
6:30-7:15– Missions for Children; Youth Bible Study/Missions and Adult Program (quarterly church conference as needed)

Wednesdays, Weekly:
11:30 a.m.   Wednesday lunch and Bible study for adults
Childcare available 6:00-7:30, and from 5:00-6:00 for committee meetings by request
5:00-6:15 p.m.  -- Church open for committee meetings
6:15-7:30-- Chancel Choir Rehearsal

As the fall semester concludes, we will evaluate this model and make a decision to continue, to return to our current Wednesday schedule, or to modify the current schedule in another way.  Thanks for your patience and flexibility as we try something new! 

 

 

 

Sunday and Wednesday Schedule Changes for Fall

Our Nurturing Faith and Belonging Task Force has been working to find ways to implement the feedback received during the visioning process related to our schedule of activities and programs, with the goal of providing time for educational opportunities as well as fellowship.  As a part of this work, we will be experimenting with a change to our regularly scheduled activities that have been held on Wednesday nights.

May 3 Dee Bratcher’s ”Research and Writing in Religion” class from Mercer will lead us in a story on biblical translation 

May 10 After Resurrection: Signs, Tongues and Snakes

May 17 RA/GA Pinewood Derby and GA Commencement 

May 24 After Resurrection: Feed My Sheep

May 31: BEGIN NOON BIBLE STUDY

Children's Music and Missions Begins September 2

It’s a new year in music and missions!  Join us on Wednesday nights beginning September 2. 

Schedule:

5:15-6:00            Family supper in the Fellowship Hall

6:00-6:40            Preschool Choir for 3K-4K

                          Music Makers Choir for K-2nd grade

                           Young Musicians Choir for 3rd-5th grade

6:40-7:20            Playtime for 3K

                Mission Friends for 4K-5K

                GAs (God’s Apprentices) for girls grades 1-5

                RAs (Royal Ambassadors) for boys grades 1-5

7:20-7:35            Recreation for 3K-5K in Preschool 4K-5Kclassroom

     Recreation for 1st-5th grade at St. Joseph’s Playground (weather         permitting) or Children’s Center

 

All children should be picked up between 7:20-7:35 unless their parents are in choir or Language Ministry classes.
