Children's Sunday School
Sunday School is offered each Sunday at 9:45 a.m. for children of all ages. Trained and experienced volunteers teach children to love the Bible through stories and creative activities. Children are grouped in classes with other children in their age group.
Working on Worship (W.O.W.)
W.O.W. is offered for preschoolers each Sunday during the second part of the worship service. Preschoolers from age 3-5 are invited into the worship service with their families for the first part of the service (up until the children’s sermon), and then preschoolers exit to the preschool worship area for W.O.W. Preschoolers learn how we worship so that they are prepared to enter full-time worship with their families as first graders. W.O.W. worshippers learn skills and practices such as appropriate worship behavior, seasons of the church year, chiming the hour, taking an offering, singing the Gloria Patri and Doxology, and more.
Music is an important part of our church’s identity and heritage. Graded children’s choirs teach our children musical concepts as well as a love for worship and the traditional hymns and spiritual songs of the church. Children’s choirs are offered for children in from age 3 – Grade 5 each Wednesday night during the school year from 6:00-6:40 p.m.
Missions is a central part of our Baptist history and heritage. Our missions education groups for children introduce them to the work of our church’s missions partners around the world as well as teaching them to respect and appreciate different cultures. Children also participate in hands-on mission projects to benefit our local and global missions partners.
Missions groups are offered for children each Wednesday night during the school year from 6:40-7:20 p.m. Mission Friends includes preschoolers in 4K-K; Royal Ambassadors (RAs) is for boys in grades 1-5; and God’s Apprentices (GAs) includes girls in grades 1-5.
